During follow-up visits, the dietician will:
- Review your dietary history and intake
- Monitor outcome assessments with previous measurements
- Evaluate adherence to meal plan and physical activity goals
Depending on your health management and dietary plan, expected outcomes will include:
- A reduction in blood pressure
- Weight reduction (5-10% weight loss within 6-12 months)
- A lower Body Mass Index (BMI) 1-2 units
- Decreased waist circumference,
- A lower total LDL and triglyceride cholesterol
- Stabilized or increased HDL
- A reduction in fasting blood glucose and improved A1C
